Big Tide Rising

A spoken-word poem commissioned by The MAC, Belfast, as part of their NINOW100 series. With musical accompaniment composed by the brilliant Garth McConaghie

“NINOW100 is a cross-artform programme of work by 18 artists, academics, activists, playwrights, and pioneering (ex)politicians that responds to or touches upon the Northern Irish Centenary of 2021, that is, the partition of Ireland and creation of Northern Ireland as a state.”

Reading of poem ‘Whole’:

This was filmed for inclusion in the NI New Writers’ showcase film at the Prophets, Makers, and Risk Takers NI writer’s symposium 2022, that was curated by novelist Jan Carson. The poem was included in The New Frontier: Reflections from the Irish Border (New Island Books).
